HPC is committed to helping our neighbors wrestling with all forms of food insecurity. Those could be for short-term reasons (waiting for a job’s first paycheck to come through or a furlough to be over) or longer-term challenges.

We know that we are just one piece of the solution, one part of the body of Christ and of the social network seeking to help folks stay afloat. We give thanks for the efforts of the many churches and organizations in our community that are similarly seeking to help. We wanted to highlight the website findhelp.org, which aggregates information for assistance for food, as well as other needs such as housing, goods (diapers, baby formula), bus passes, and more.

We are happy to be listed and visible in findhelp ourselves. As a church, we provide a food pantry on Tuesdays from 10:30 – 1:30 (changing to 1pm on 6/1/2026), and free meals to all comers on Mondays and Thursdays from 12:30 to 1:30. These happen through the funds and volunteer hours of not just our congregation, but groups in the community who come alongside of us to serve and feed our neighbors. We are grateful for all the hands that come together to make these happen. Members of our congregation also help to supply the Caring Cupboard Little Free Pantry at our neighbor, the Glen Burnie Library. We also offer thanks for the work of Happy Helpers for the Homeless, who faithfully serves from HPC on Saturdays and Sundays, and are amazed at their work as they serve multiple additional locations throughout the week.
