Children’s Worship

10:30 am every Sunday

HPC invites families to begin worship together. Early in the service, children of all ages are invited to come forward for a special Time with Children message, a message that teaches them the lesson of the day in a way in a fun and age appropriate way.

After this time, children return to worship with their families. We offer Worship Bags for those who need a little extra to keep young worshipers occupied for their time in worship.

Nursery

We love the sounds of children in our service. If your child loves to make a joyful (or even grumpy) noise, we’re ready to hear their voices join our chorus. Many of us are or have been parents, though, and know that sometimes a child needs a diaper change, to be nursed, or just be up and out of the pews during service. We do have a nursery ready for just such a time as this, with the ability for parents to continue to continue to listen to the service. Our deacons are at the ready during every service to help guide a parent or caretaker to the nursery.

If your child is older than 2, we would ask that instead of making use of the nursery, you head to our church lounge where we can also accommodate you with the audio of the service. A deacon would be happy to provide your young charge with a Worship Bag or with some extra paper and crayons.

Keeping Our Children Safe

As a congregation, we are committed to being a community of faith where all of God’s children feel welcome and safe. Part of this commitment is our Child Abuse Prevention and Safety (CAPS) Policy.

All volunteers and employees who work with children, youth, and vulnerable adults are required to adhere to this policy, which includes an application form, training, and consenting to a background check.
